Our aim is to create a safe and happy atmosphere where children can learn about Jesus and the Bible. We trust that, by God’s grace, it will help to bring them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Spark is overseen by Briony Raynor along with a dedicated team of volunteers. All Spark workers are committed Christians in regular membership of this church and appointed with the blessing of the church leadership. They do an excellent job and have a passion for all of the children to know Jesus.
All workers have been checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service and work in accordance with our Safeguarding Policy, which can be viewed on the Policies page on this site.
Each session includes a welcome to everyone, especially new children. There will be an activity introducing the theme for that week. The main Bible story is taught and is related to the children’s everyday lives. We use many different ways of helping the children remember the biblical truths being taught. We also learn bible verses where children can win a prize at the end of the month. In Spark we love to reward good behaviour, kindness, and care.
Please make sure you book your child into Spark each week, child check-on opens at 10.15am on Sunday mornings at the King’s Centre.
The teaching material we are using at the moment is Urban Saints Energise for KS2 and Truway Kids for KS1, they are excellent resources, with a strong biblical base, and an excellent emphasis on discipleship.
